KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Sarawak State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani have had a “fruitful meeting” with Petronas top brass in Kuching, Sarawak today (Aug 15).
The Petronas team was led by its Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Upstream, Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib.
“The meeting was productive, and we will meet again on Saturday to iron out all the issues, down to the finest details,” Uggah said, according to a press release issued by his office.
Among the Petronas delegates were Senior Vice President of Group Human Resource Management, Datuk Raiha Azni Abdul Rahman and Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Adif Zulkifli.
The meeting was held following the state government’s decision to issue a moratorium on all new applications for work permits for Petronas employees from outside Sarawak to work in the state.
