Mahathir and PRIBUMI foks still dare to slam Najib's first 7 years to "Save Malaysia"?

The current attacks on the economy and Najib's handling of the economy by the fake "Tun Daim", Mahathir loyalist A Kadir Jasin and the rest of the PRIBUMI and Anwar fan-boys has shown up how ironic these people are.

PRIBUMI folks should realize that Mahathir had one major recession, one severe crash and one major slowdown in his 22 years in charge.

Anwar as Finance Minister also did not cover himself with glory as he took over only in 1991 after the economy started to boom and before he was sacked, the economy suffered a crash 7 years later.

Najib took over as PM only in April 2009 amidst the Great Global Recession, the worst the world has seen in 70 years and helped our country to recover quickly (which is why Debt-to-GDP ratio went up 10% then) and have enjoyed good growth over the last 7 years.

And those PRIBUMI who are supposedly fighting for the lower income bumiputra folks also completely missed the point that in the 22 years that Mahathir was in charge, he did little to improve the income inequality.

In 1984 (no measurement between 1979 to 1984), the Gini coefficient was 0.483 and when Mahathir retired, it was still high at 0.461 in 2002 and 0.462 in 2004.

Compare this to the 0.441 to 0.401 drop during Najib's 7 years.

In fact, Mahathir failed the bumiputras even more where the Gini only dropped from 0.464 in 1984 to 0.452 in 2004 whereas it dropped from 0.440 in 2009 to 0.389 in 2014.

Those policies implemented by Najib with a real focus on the lower-income group to reduce inequality means that it is impossible for the Gini not to drop and has greatly helped the lower income group - regardless of bumiputra or not - way more than Mahathir ever did.

In fact, from 1981 to 1998 by the end of his first 7 years in power,
- Mahathir had more than doubled our unemployment,
- ran the highest budget deficits in Malaysian history,
- doubled our debt above the key 100% Debt-to-GDP ratio,
- doubled our foreign debt,
- plunged our country into recession,
- seen our stock market drop by half,
- misused Maminco and destroyed the tin industry
- mismanaged the tragic Memali incident resulting in the deaths of 18 civilians and police officers,
- forced the resignation of his deputy PM, his finance minister, sacked 3 other cabinet ministers (including Pak Lah) and 4 deputy ministers during ramadhan,
- destroyed the judiciary system,
- cheated billions of Bumiputra shares from EPF via Makuwasa to bailout Maminco,
- allowed BMF to collapse under RM2.5b of debt,
- almost allowed a full-blown racial riot before throwing more than 100 persons in jail under ISA for Ops Lalang,,
- closed 4 major newspapers including Sin Chew, Watan and The Star,
- removed the power of the Agong and also changed the law to allow him to declare emergency himself.
- destroyed UMNO and created UMNO baru
- gave his proxy the extremely lopsided PLUS highway concession which will eventually cause RM51 billion in toll charges paid by the rakyat to his gang
- Started Perwaja steel which already lost RM10 billion by the end of 7 years and go on to lose RM15 billion eventually.
- more than doubled car taxes which caused the rakyat to pay up to RM200 billion extra over the next decades

The above is just the first 7 years of Mahathir in charge. Check the dates.

And Mahathir and PRIBUMI foks still dare to slam Najib's first 7 years to "Save Malaysia"?

Apa kebodohan ini?

I really laugh when I hear Mahathir and his gang show off their hypocrisy, ignorance and severe memory loss.
